Women's golf defends Cougar Classic title

Improving by seven strokes in the final round, the Florida’s women’s golf team claimed its second-consecutive title in the Cougar Classic and its first victory of the 2013-14 season. As a team, Florida ended the event at 5-under (859), just one stroke ahead of the runner-up, Clemson (860).
Junior Anna Young shined on the final day, soaring from T16 to the top of the individual rankings, claiming her first title of her collegiate career and finishing the tournament at 5-under (211).
Gator newcomers Karolina Vlckova and Maria Torres proved themselves at their first collegiate tournament, shooting 2-under (214) and 1-over (217), respectively. Vlckova also had a top-10 individual finish. Katie Mitchell finished her first competition as a Gator 4-over (220), followed by Camilla Hedberg shooting 10-over (226).
