Q: How did it feel to get your first start against Toledo?

A: It was great. It was a big day for me. My first game back from injury (meniscus). I was excited, a little anxious and nervous at one point. But after that first drive, everything slowed down and I got used to the speed and felt normal out there.

Q: How do you think you performed?

A: I feel like I did good. I did my job. I made a few plays when I was supposed to. I was in the right spot, communicated well with the secondary and the defense played well.

Q: Was your mentality different going into Saturday's game as opposed to last year?

A: There was definitely a big difference. Just going out there knowing what to do and just playing without thinking. So I felt confident.

Q: What did UF coach Will Muschamp say to you afterward?

A: He was like, 'Congrats on your first game and good job.' We went over film and there's obviously stuff to get better on. He didn't harp on it too much. We've got a game (to prepare for) this week.

Q: Which areas does he want to see improvement from you?

A: Just communicating a little better, disguising (coverages) more and stuff like that. They were small things, nothing major.
