Dr. Anntwanique Edwards, author of "Daddy, Where are You" and "Where Is Thy Faith," will host a book signing and discussion about issues that impact youth.
It will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Senior Recreation Center at 5701 NW 34th St.
All proceeds from the books, which are available as e-books and in hard cover and paperback, will benefit Divine Ministry Inc., a Gainesville-based non-profit organization that serves disadvantaged women and children. The books are available at Authorhouse Publishing Co., Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.

Elizabeth Graham, an internationally renowned opera singer, and Professor Kevin Sharpe, an associate professor in the University of Florida College of Music, will perform together to raise money for the Delano Filer Sr. Scholarship Fund at Mount Olive AME Church.
The performance will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Thomas Center at 302 NE 6th Ave. Tickets are $25. A reception will follow the concert.
Graham and Sharpe will perform works by Strauss, Debussy, Gershwin and Verdi, as well as selections from "Porgy and Bess" and "Rhapsody in Blue."

The Inspirational Daughters of Joy will celebrate their 13th anniversary.
