A Lake City man walked out of a supermarket on Sunday afternoon wheeling a cart full of meat. When police stopped him, he said he wanted to go to jail, according to a report.

Lake City police stopped Anthony Moore, 52, on Coburn Avenue at 6:19 p.m. after he left the Save-A-Lot store at 2767 NW U.S. 90, the report said.

Next to him was a shopping cart full of meat. Moore told police, "I loaded the cart, and just walked out." He walked about 150 yards and then called police himself, telling the officers that he wanted to go to jail.

Moore was arrested on a charge of retail theft and was being held on Monday at the Columbia County jail on $1,000 bond.
