Blues and portrait art:

Thursday’s Museum Nights event at the Harn Museum of Art has artist and musician Richard Heipp doing double duty: At 7:15 p.m., the director of the University of Florida’s School of Art and Art History discusses his painting, “Visible Anatomy — Clinton with Rider,” and other works in the current Harn exhibit, “Much Ado About Portraits.” Then, Heipp will strap on the electric bass to play with the R. Mutt Blues Band from 8 to 8:45 p.m. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Museum Nights: 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Harn Museum of Art, 3259 Hull Road. Free.
