Gospel concert

Temple of Deliverance Baptist Church will host "A Gospel Evening of Praise and Worship."

It will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at New Creations Fellowship Church at 2500 NE 15th St. Refreshments will be served.

Featured will be Christian Women on the Move, the Southland Singers, Spiritual Revelations, Ericka Stephens, Temple Deliverance Gospel Singers, Leona Williams and Leon Young and the Angelic Singers, all of Gainesville; The Herring Sisters of Jasper; The Jacksonville Gospel Singers; Pure Praise of New Creation of Ocala and Pastor Kenneth C. Troupe of Salvation Holiness Church and the Praise Dance Ministry of Yvette Williams, both of Lake City.

Church anniversary

Greater Love & Faith Ministries will celebrate its second anniversary.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 10:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church at 902 SE 10th Terrace. The theme will be "Greater Love & Faith by the Power that Worketh in Us."

Fire revival

TDC Ministries International Inc. will host another "2013 Fresh Fire Revival."

Services will held at 7 p.m. Thursday and also Aug. 7 at Antioch United Holiness Church at 2516 NE 8th Ave.

Special service

Victory Temple Ministries will present "These Feet of Mine: Where You Came from to Where You are in Your Walk with Christ and What You've Done to Sustain."

It will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at the church at 908 SE Williston Road.

Revival

Jesus is the Light Christian Center will host a one-night revival.

Pastor appreciation

The Church of the Kingdom of God Inc. No. 5 will host an appreciation service for Pastor Daniel Lavan Sr. and Elect Lady Daisy Lavan.

Author Kandra Albury will host a book talk and release celebration for her book, "From Food Stamps to Favor" and her children's book, "Don't You Dare Touch Me There!"

It will be held from 7:30-9 p.m. Thursday at the Alachua County Library Headquarters Meeting Room A at 401 E. University Ave.

Those attending are asked to purchase "Favor" in advance online via Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million and bring it to the signing to be autographed. A limited number of books will be available at the signing.

Safety, awareness

Mount Olive AME Church will continue its free Safety and Awareness Workshop for children and parents.

It will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday and also Tuesday at the church at 721 SE 8th Ave. Lunch will be provided for those who register.

Topics will include body awareness, listening to your guiding voice, respecting yourself and others, safety awareness and self-esteem development.

New Bibleway Baptist Church will host a Pre-Founders Day program.

Women's conference

Women in Prayer will present the "Women of Destiny on the Frontline annual Women's Conference 2013."

It will be held Aug. 9-11 in St. Augustine and in Micanopy. The theme will be "A Woman God Can Use." There is no registration fee.

On Aug. 9-10 at Holiday Inn Express at 2300 State Road 16 in St. Augustine, there will be seminars on "Women & Money," Women of Integrity," "Relationships & Abuse" and "Single Women & Mothers in Ministry." There also will be a sunrise service on the beach, fitness sessions and a scenic cruise for $16.75 per person.

On Aug. 11 at 11 a.m., the conference will end with a worship service at Grace Temple Outreach Ministry at 701 SW 1st Ave. in Micanopy.

Gospel Fest

We Soar Inc. will present its 12th annual Williston Gospel Fest.

The Gospel Fest will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Unity Temple International Fellowship Inc. at 2351 NE 200th Ave. in Williston. The event is free, and food and merchandise vendors will be available. A love offering also will be accepted.

The Gospel Fest will feature Brothers of Harmony, the North Central Florida Gospel Announcer's Guild Choir, Men of Blessings, NOW Generation, Spiritual Harmonizers and others.
