Savanna has been helping in her community since she understood what community service was at the age of six through Girl Scouts. At the age of 8 she helped with Keeping Gainesville Beautiful clean-up. After that she suggested for her Girl Scout troop to clean the creek that runs into the Duck Pond (NE). (Which they did) Savanna did a cleaned up of Depot Park Creek. She collected toys for a teacher to take to Haiti, she has donated over 100 lbs of clothes to Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity. Savanna helped raise over $500 for a stranger in need through a bake sale. She has collected over 500 non-perishable goods for Catholic Charities. Savanna would love to start her own organization called "Necessities of Niceness" which gives hygiene items and cleaning supplies to those that are financially struggling. Savanna is always trying to get others involved in volunteering and never meets a stranger. She is waiting until the day she is able to take herself everywhere and be accepted for her volunteering since she hears all to often that she is "too young", did I mention that Savanna is only 10 years old.
