Florida added another prospect to its 2016 football recruiting class Friday when Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab athlete Tre Jackson made his verbal commitment to the Gators.

The 5-foot-10, 160-pounder, who is the son of former Florida All-American receiver Jack Jackson (1991-94), camped at UF on June 8 and earned an offer three days later.

He is Florida’s second commit for 2016, joining Naples athlete Tyler Byrd. Both prospects will play either receiver or cornerback for the Gators.
