A Gainesville man has been arrested on multiple felonies after deputies said a search of his personal computer turned up several pornographic videos featuring children.

Jeffery M. Jackson, 25, of 308 SW 16th Ave., Apt. 223, was arrested Wednesday afternoon after deputies with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at his home seeking evidence of the distribution of and possession of child pornography.

An initial search of Jackson’s computer and external hard drive turned up “several videos that contained child pornography,” deputies reported, including one involving a young girl who appeared to be younger than 10.

Jackson was charged with possession or promotion of child pornography; possession, control or viewing of child pornography; and using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. He was booked into the Alachua County jail, where he remained Thursday in lieu of $150,000 bond. Records with the Clerk of Court’s Office show he has been arrested multiple times for passing worthless checks and traffic offenses, including displaying another person’s driver’s license.
