An apartment complex under new ownership and management is spending $3.6 million on renovations scheduled for completion in mid-fall.
The Pavilion on 62nd, formerly known as The District on 62nd, is now under Atlanta-based Peak Campus management.
In February, a Chicago real estate investment company bought the complex for $17.1 million.
The complex at 1000 SW 62nd Blvd. includes 312 apartments with 990 beds in 27 three-story buildings over 32 acres.
Leasing Manager Liz Johnson said renovations began in May.
Interior renovations that include new appliances, lighting, flooring and countertops will be completed by move-in date in August.
Buildings are being repainted white and gray.
Workers also are replacing the pool deck, adding a pavilion, an outdoor kitchen and new pool furniture.
A second clubhouse will include a yoga studio and an indoor basketball court.
The computer lab will move from the office to the main clubhouse, where it will be available 24-7. A 24-hour gym with separate rooms for cardio and free weights also will be added to the main clubhouse.
