Gatorsports.com counts down this season's standout players in the nation's toughest conference.
No. 2 Jadeveon Clowney
Position: Defensive end
School: South Carolina
Weight: 274 pounds
Why he's No. 2:In only two seasons, Clowney has already established himself as one of the most dominant defensive players in SEC history. Some might argue that he is the most dominant. He plays with great intensity and is almost unblockable in one-on-one situations with opposing offensive linemen. He already ranks fifth in USC history with 21 sacks (the school record is 29) and is tied for second with 35.5 tackles for loss. He was a first-team All-America selection last season and finished sixth in the Heisman voting. He was named the Hendricks Award winner as the nation's outstanding defensive end, becoming the first sophomore to win the award.
