ORLANDO — Authorities say they have arrested two men following the shooting of an Orlando police officer during a traffic stop.
The two suspects were taken into custody Tuesday, hours after the shooting.
The shooting happened early Tuesday morning after the officer stopped a vehicle that was driving recklessly.
According to Orlando police, the suspects got out of the vehicle and one of them shot 25-year-old Officer Jason Hajek. The suspects fled on foot.
Authorities say Hajek was able return fire, call for help and give a description to dispatch.
Police say Hajek was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery.
