Big Lots held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday for its new store in the former Albertsons building at 2321 NW 13th St. The store relocated after closing its store in the Northside Shopping Center at 2340 N. Main St. on June 16 and opened in the new location on July 4. Big Lots occupies about 30,000 square feet, leaving 25,000 square feet of the former supermarket for another tenant. The company presented a $1,500 donation to Gainesville High School during the ceremony.
