Gatorsports.com counts down this season's standout players in the nation's toughest conference.

No. 11 Craig Loston

Position: Safety

School: LSU

Height: 6-foot-2

Weight: 205 pounds

Year: Senior

Why he's No. 11: Hard-hitting safety with excellent instincts. Loston earned All-SEC second team honors in his first full season as a starter in 2012, finishing with 55 tackles and 3 interceptions. His highlight play last season was a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown against Mississippi State. Loston has played in 35 games in his career, with 14 starts. He's registered 91 career tackles with 4 tackles for loss and six takeaways (four interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery). With the departure of safety Eric Reid to the NFL draft, Loston will be counted on to lead LSU's secondary in 2013.
