Contemporary Christian singer Chris Tomlin will perform at the O'Connell Center on Nov. 5 with tickets going on sale July 26 at noon, O'Connell Center officials announced Monday.
Tomlin, who's “Burning Lights” tour performance also will feature Atlanta pastor Louie Giglio, is being presented locally by The Joy FM, 88.1, in Ocala.
A 2012 Grammy Award-winner for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for the album, “And If Our God Is For Us,” Tomlin also has won 18 Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association and was named Top Christian Artist in the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.
His No. 1 hits on Billboard's Christian Songs chart include “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies),” from Tomlin's 2013 album “Burning Lights,” as well as “I Lift My Hands” in 2011 and “Our God” in 2010.
“He is a premier Christian artist,” said Renee Musson, associate director of the O'Connell Center.
Tickets for the performance, which are $29 and $39 for the public, and $23 for college students, go on sale noon July 26 at the O'Connell Center box office and through Ticketmaster.
