A Gainesville man and a Jacksonville man were arrested Friday as part of a police sting alleging they used computers to arrange to have sex with a minor.
Zachary Germain Jordal, 23, of 2701 NW 23rd Blvd., Apt. T167, was charged Friday night with traveling to meet a minor for unlawful sexual contact with a child, soliciting a child for sex and unlawful use of a two-way device, according to a Gainesville Police Department arrest report and jail records.
Adolfo Leonel Pena, 29, of Jacksonville, was arrested on the same charges Friday afternoon, records show.
The narrative sections of the arrest reports, which give details about the cases, were redacted.
Gainesville police officer Ben Tobias, GPD's spokesman, said in an email that GPD is running a sting operation and that he will not answer any questions about the operation until it is complete.
