One man has been arrested and his alleged accomplice is being sought in a home invasion robbery on June 7 in Starke.
Joshua James Allen Knapp, 24, has been charged in the robbery, and Marie Ann Stokes, 23, is being sought, according to the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s officials say that on June 7 at about 1 p.m. a woman was held at gunpoint in her Starke residence by a white male and black female who stole several thousand dollars worth of jewelry.
On Tuesday, Deputy James Albritton stopped a vehicle being driven by Knapp, who it was determined had a suspended driver’s license. After arresting Knapp, Albritton discovered a jewelry box that authorities say had been stolen in a recent burglary in Keystone Heights. Knapp was charged with the Keystone burglary, which authorities say had some similarities to the Starke home invasion robbery.
Authorities say that during questioning, it was revealed the Knapp was involved in the home invasion and he has since been charged. Authorities say he also identified Stokes as his accomplice and an arrest warrant has been issued for her arrest.
Anyone with information on Stokes’ whereabouts is asked to call the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office at 904-966-6303. Stokes is considered armed and dangerous, Bradford authorities said.
