Blow Out

Showers of Blessings Harvest Center Inc. will present "Blow Out in the Bottom," a fun-filled night of worship through dance, music and the spoken word.

It will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church at 2615 SE 15th St. There also will be a raffle for a $50 gas card.

Featured will be gospel recording artist Charles King, Noiz of Zion and Dance with Purpose, all of Gainesville.

Breakfast, service

The Mount Olive AME Church Susie Long Missionary Society will sponsor its "Praise the Lord for Another Day" breakfast and also a special service.

The breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church at 721 SE 8th Ave. The cost will be $10. The theme will be "I Come to the Garden Alone to Talk With Jesus."

The society also will host a program at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church that will feature praying, singing and the sharing of the good news about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jazz on the Lawn

The First Missionary Baptist Church Singles Ministry and Married Ministry will host Christian Jazz on the Lawn.

It will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the church at 1515 SE 15th St. It is free, and open to the community. Bring your own lawn chair.

Features will be live music, food and vendors.

Revival

TDC Ministries International Inc. will host another "2013 Fresh Fire Revival."

It will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Antioch United Holiness Church at 2516 NE 8th Ave.

The speaker will be Evangelist Joanna Hutchinson of Gainesville.

5th Sunday

New and Living Way Outreach Ministries will host a 5th Sunday mid-year service.

It will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the church at 1145 E. University Ave., across the street from Walgreen's. The theme will be "Making a Strong Finish."

Men's conference

Dayspring Baptist Church will host its Men's Ministry annual conference.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church at 1945 NE 8th Ave. A banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the T.A. Wright Family Life Center at Mount Carmel Baptist Church at 2505 NE 8th Ave. Tickets are $30.

District meeting

The Church of God by Faith Inc. Gainesville District will meet.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Gainesville Church of God by Faith at 735 SE 15th St. The theme will be "Laborers: Worthy of Their Rewards."

The services will be: Friday, Home Mission service; Saturday, evening worship, and Sunday, 10 a.m., Sunday school, and 11:30 a.m., a special service to honor district leaders Elder James Williams Jr. and Mother Cora Williams for 43 years of service.

The speaker will be Ruling Elder James E. McKnight Jr., pastor of Starke Church of God by Faith and a member of the executive council of the Church of God by Faith Inc.
