The majority of Florida’s remaining members from its 2013 football recruiting class reported to campus Tuesday, but there’s one signee who won’t make it in until next month.
Delray Beach American Heritage offensive tackle Roderick Johnson came up a half credit short and has to earn it through an online class before enrolling at UF.
Johnson will have the course completed soon, according to Johnson’s high school coach, Stacy Sizemore.
“One of our coaches talked to him and Rod told him he would be at Florida in two weeks,” Sizemore said.
This is similar to last year’s situation with five-star defensive end Jonathan Bullard, who was held up because of an academic issue and didn’t report to UF until late July. Whenever Johnson fulfills his credit requirements, he will be able to register for the fall semester and participate in preseason camp, which begins in early August.
Aside from Johnson, the rest of Florida’s signees have made it to Gainesville, moved into their dorms and enrolled in school.
