Father's Day

Greater Love and Faith Ministries will host a Father's Day worship service.

It will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at the church at 902 SE 9th Terrace. The theme will be "Purpose Driven Men of God."

Bartley Temple

Bartley Temple United Methodist Church is planning several upcoming events.

Beginning Monday through June 21, the church will hold its annual Vacation Bible School from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the church at 1936 NE 8th Ave. The community is invited.

There will be classes for children, teens and adults.

On June 22, the church will host its Community Church Picnic. It will be held from noon-5 p.m., also at the church.

Convention, tournament

The Florida Central 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ will continue its 2013 AIM Convention.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday at Upper Room Church of God in Christ at 3575 NE 15th St.

Also, the W.F. Robinson Memorial Softball Tournament will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Northeast Park at 330 NE 16th Ave. The entry fee is $200. Fellowship, praise

The Clara Reeves Ministry will present a night of "Fellowship and Praise."

Women's conference

Gateway Christian Center will host a Women's Conference.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the church at 5135 NW 21st St. The theme will be "Embracing in Love the Newness of Life."

The conference will conclude with a banquet at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Best Western Gateway Grand Hotel at 4200 NW 97th Blvd. Tickets are $25.

Ministry anniversary

Williams Temple Church of God in Christ will celebrate its 10th Prison Ministry Anniversary.

The service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the church at 628 NW 7th Ave.

Featured will be an encouraging message for those working in prison ministry, prayer and information about resources for families with loved ones incarcerated, praise and worship, testimonials from former inmates and more. A barbecue dinner will be served.

Women's conference

Women netWorking With Women Inc. will host the "Women netWorking with Women Conference."

It will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at A Crown of Life Ministries at 308 SW 8th Ave. There will be seminars on abuse, parenting and self-esteem. The registration fee is $15, and $7.50 if you bring a friend. Make checks or money orders payable to the 4W's Network Inc.
