Florida filled a big need in its 2014 recruiting class late Thursday night.
Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Northridge tight end Cyontai Lewis, who was offered by the Gators on Tuesday, pledged to UF coach Will Muschamp over the phone.
"I want to be part of a winning program and I feel like Florida is the perfect place for me. I'm really excited about it," said the 6-foot-6, 211-pound Lewis, who chose UF over Mississippi State.
The Gators now have eight verbal commitments for 2014.
