One of the highest-ranked prospects in Florida's 2014 class is back on the market.
Columbia (S.C) Spring Valley linebacker Christian Miller decommitted from the Gators on Friday morning.
“After a lot of hard thinking and discussions with my parents, I have respectfully decided to open my recruitment back up,” Miller wrote on his Facebook account.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder pledged to UF following its Junior Day event on Feb. 16. His relationship with new defensive line coach Brad Lawing, who coached Miller's father, Corey, at South Carolina, had a lot to do with it.
But the top-100 recruit has chosen to take his official visits so he can commit to a school more so than a coach. Florida is still one of his favorites at this time along with Alabama and Tennessee.
The Gators now have eight commits in their 2014 class, including five Rivals250 members with the loss of Miller.
