After a freakishly chilly morning, today is set to be mild and sunny, according to the National Weather Service.

The temperature at Gainesville Regional Airport reached 47 degrees about 6 a.m. this morning, far off the typical low for the day of 66. The record was 45, which occurred in several years, NWS website data shows. Today's high is expected to be 82 degrees, a dip from the normal temperature of 87.
