Gainesville-area residents can expect a pleasant, sunny week.
Temperatures will be cooler in the early part of the week and then rise to the normal range (low of 61 and high of 86) for this time of year by Thursday. Slight chances of rain will surface later in the week.
Today will be slightly chillier than normal after a Sunday cold front blew through the area. Temperatures will range from 79 to 47 degrees. Sunny skies should keep the region warm, with no rain anticipated today through Wednesday.
Temperatures will rise slightly throughout the week. Tuesday highs will reach 81 degrees and lows will rise to 53 degrees. Wednesday temperatures will range from 85 to 58 degrees. Thursday temperatures will not shift much, with a high of 86 and low of 60 expected. A 10 percent chance of rain is predicted in the afternoon.
Starting Friday and moving into the weekend, a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms is predicted for the afternoon and early evening. Temperatures will range from the low-60s to the mid-80s through Sunday.
