Authorities are searching for a man who committed an armed robbery at the Flower Pot Bakery in the Town of Tioga on Wednesday, just after 6 p.m. Moments after the bakery closed for business, one employee was still working inside, when a man came in through a back door carrying a long gun of some type, said Alachua County spokesman Art Forgey.
“The suspect was a wearing a black jacket, a black hat, and a black bandana covering his face at the time of the robbery,” Forgey said.
The man stole cash from the bakery before leaving. A helicopter search and neighborhood canvass was conducted immediately following the robbery, but failed to yield any leads on the whereabouts of the man. Forgey said investigators are checking a camera on the property for any images of the robber.
