State wildlife officials are conducting a prescribed burn in Gilchrist County and are warning drivers to be aware of smoke in the area around County Road 138.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is burning tracts of woods at CR 138 and NE 2nd Way, and visibility may be limited because of smoke.
Conditions may worsen during the night and in early morning hours, officials said. Drivers should reduce their speed and use low-beam headlights.
