B orn in Oklahoma and growing up in Mexico until 7, what are your memories living there as a child? I have a lot of family there, so hanging out with family. And swimming and soccer at the school I attended.
C oach David Halter's best words of advice for me (in softball): Get ahead, stay ahead.
D efeating Melody Christian on Tuesday to reach the regional finals in softball for the first time since 2002 was ... It feels great making history. I feel we have a great chance to reach state.
E ducational success (4.3 weighted GPA), is it as important to you as athletics? It is more important than athletics. Education is No. 1 for me, and sports is for fun.
F avorite type of music: Whatever plays on 105.3 FM.
G etting an ace serve in volleyball, hitting a jumper in basketball or a double in softball, which would mean more to you? Hitting a jumper in basketball. It is my favorite sport.
Note: Olivia was named first-team all-area in basketball both her junior and senior seasons.
H appiest day (one of them) in my life was when ... Graduating with my AA degree my junior year in high school. I got it through dual enrollment at Florida Gateway College.
I nteresting thing about me away from sports: I like to fish. I live on the river and can go to the backyard whenever I want to.
J oker on the softball team: Victoria Waldron. She is always saying random things that keeps us laughing.
K ey to keeping my composure when things are not going well: Having faith. I like to put things past me and just use it for motivation the next time.
L east favorite sport to watch: Golf or hockey. No interest.
M y favorite hangout spot in Bell is .... Akins Bar-B-Q restaurant. We usually eat there on game days.
N ickname? Livvy. For as long as I can remember. That is what my friends call me. I usually don't go by Olivia unless it is from someone I don't know.
O ne person in my life who inspires me most: My parents, Don and Adela Bailey. They are very supportive.
P otential college major: Sports medicine.
Q uiet-time activity: Just listen to music.
R eaching 1,564 career points in basketball, what does that mean to you? That means a lot to me, to know I broke the school's record for the second highest in career points at the school. That is something I will remember for the rest of my life.
S uperstition I have: I have a weird one — not shaving my legs the night before a game.
T oughest moment of my high school career ... Any time we lost to Trenton. I hate losing to them.
U niversities or colleges considering? I have committed to Austin College in Texas. I liked the campus, the coaches and the players I met.
V acation spot I love: Mexico.
W hat will it take to beat defending state champion Lafayette on your field Friday night to advance to Bell's first state tournament since 1999? It would take us hitting the ball off a great pitcher in Lindsay O'Steen and not let anything go past us. We just have to stay focused.
X box, PlayStation or Wii? PlayStation. My brothers have always played PlayStation. Anything sports.
