A Chiefland man was seriously injured Tuesday morning when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on State Road 320 in Levy County, according to a report.

Theodore Milewski, 70, was headed east on SR 320 around 10:40 a.m. when he approached a 2004 Buick Ranier driven by Robert Putnam, 84, of Spartanburg, S.C., who was turning into the Chiefland Golf and Country Club, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Putnam entered the eastbound lane of SR 320 and stopped before completely crossing the lane after seeing the motorcycle approaching. Milewski was unable to avoid the collision and struck the left front of the Buick, the FHP reported.

Milewski was taken to Shands at the University of Florida with serious injuries. Neither Putnam nor any of his three passengers were injured.

Putnam was cited for violation of right of way, the report stated.
