Flu control measures discussed Thursday

The annual Control Flu Celebration kicks off Thursday at Littlewood Elementary School.

The guest speaker this year is Dr. John Robbins, chief of the Laboratory of Developmental and Molecular Biology in the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, a division of the National Institutes of Health.

Alachua County Commissioner Lee Pinkoson will speak in support of the Control Flu program.

The results of this year's Control Flu school immunization program will be announced.

The event begins at 3 p.m. Thursday inside the Terrell Auditorium at Littlewood Elementary School, 812 NW 34th St.
