Police arrested a man early Sunday morning after they said he had pulled a gun on another man and a woman, according to a report.
Gainesville Police gave this account: After a disturbance that began at the All Star Sports Bar on Southwest 13th Street and Williston Road, Jeffery Coleman, 21, of Gainesville, got into an argument around 4 a.m. with another man at the Kangaroo gas station at 4030 SW 13th St.
Coleman pulled a gun on a man, who fled in his vehicle.
About an hour later, Coleman found the man and blocked him with his car. He began chasing the man in his car and pointed a black handgun at the man and a woman passenger through his open driver’s side window.
Numerous law enforcement units responded and police stopped Coleman at 1200 NE Eighth Ave.
Police dog Argos alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. In the locked glove compartment, police found 17 grams of marijuana and a loaded Sig Sauer .40 caliber pistol.
Records show that Coleman has three felony convictions, most recently a burglary charge from 2011.
Coleman was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
