Federal economic injury disaster loans are available to businesses that were unable to pay bills as a direct result of the drought between Feb. 19 and April 15.

The U.S. Small Business Administration loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture businesses and most private nonprofit organizations in Alachua, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion, Putnam, St. Johns, Union and Volusia counties.

SBA disaster declarations come after the Secretary of Agriculture issues disaster declarations to help farmers recover from crop damage and losses.

Applications are due by Dec. 17 and are available at disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
