Gators travel to Missouri for SEC weekend series

Southpaw Danny Young (1-3, 3.51) is set for his fourth-consecutive weekend start after going in the second game against the Gamecocks last weekend and receiving a no-decision. Young will face Tiger right-hander Brett Graves (0-5, 5.24). ... Sunday's starters are TBD.


NOTES: Florida notched its sixth win in a row on Tuesday with a 5-3 triumph over FGCU in Fort Myers. ... The Gators enter the set with Missouri riding the longest winning streak in the SEC (four games). ... In the Gators' six game (overall) winning streak, the team is hitting .303 with a 2.83 ERA and boasts a fielding percentage of .974 (six errors). Offensive leaders during the streak include first baseman Vickash Ramjit (.429, 7 R, 2 2B), outfielder Harrison Bader (.381, 6 R, 5 RBIs) and infielder Josh Tobias (.375, 6 RBIs, 2 R). ... Since Richie Martin (.272, 11 R, 5 BB, 3-3 SB) has been starting in center field, Florida is a perfect 6-0. ... UF pitcher Johnny Magliozzi has totaled 31 strikeouts and issued just six walks with nine saves in 10 opportunities. ... Mizzou and Florida have met six times in history with the first meeting coming at the 1981 NCAA South Regional in which Florida eliminated the Tigers from the tournament with a 7-3 win. ... The last meeting between Florida and Missouri was a 14-5 win by the Tigers in 2006. ... Mizzou catcher Dylan Kelly leads the team in hitting with a .333 average. ... Tigers outfielder Dane Opel is hitting .315 with a team-leading three home runs.
