Two Gainesville projects are seeking votes for $25,000 grants from State Farm for causes to make a positive impact in their neighborhood.
Grants will be announced for the top 40 causes April 29 out of 200 finalists. They include the Partnership for Strong Families’ Project Job Makeover, which provides tools for low-income families to become self-sufficient; and Santa Fe Adult Education’s Adult Education Leaders, which provides support for non-traditional students.
Voters are allowed as many as 10 votes per day by using the free State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook application, available at http://apps.facebook.com/sf_neighbor_assist/.
