The inaugural Pleasant Street Farmers & Cultural Arts Market was held last Saturday on the corner of NW 5th Avenue and 10th Street. A steady stream of residents attended the market, with 64 signing up for the mailing list. Terri Bailey, founder of the POWER Group, which sponsors the farmers market, said the purpose of the group is to revitalize the Pleasant Street/NW 5th Avenue neighborhood. Beginning the first Saturday in May, market hours will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. each month.
