Florida freshman catcher Taylore Fuller launched UF's third grand slam of the weekend in the second inning and junior Kelsey Horton hit the Gators' fifth homer of the series with a solo shot in the sixth, but Mississippi State held on for a 6-5 win in the series finale at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The Gators won the series 2-1.

The Bulldogs (24-14, 3-9 SEC) put up five runs on seven hits in the second inning for the 5-0 lead, but Florida (38-4, 12-3) didn't back down, putting up a four spot when Fuller, a Chiefland alum, launched a grand slam in the bottom of the second before Horton brought UF within one run in the sixth with her seventh blast of the year. Florida will wrap up a five-game homestand Wednesday by playing host to South Florida at 6 p.m. The Gators will then hit the road for a three-game SEC series at Kentucky starting Friday.
