New York Times best-selling author Beverly Lewis will be signing copies of her latest book in Gainesville on Tuesday. Known for her Christian Amish novels, Lewis is acquainted with the people and places in her pages. She spent her childhood in Lancaster County, Pa.
What: Book signing
When: 10 a.m. Tuesday
Where: Barnes & Noble, 3910 SW Archer Road, Gainesville
“I grew up around Amish kids,” she said in a phone interview this week. “We played in the cornfield together. I love to write the setting, because there's so much to offer, the cohesiveness, the community, the caring for the elderly. A lot of people hunger for that. It's just part of the fabric of their life.”
During Lewis' southeast tour, she'll make 26 stops that include Ocala, Gainesville, Lady Lake and The Villages.
