An Alachua County man was arrested Thursday morning on child pornography charges following an investigation by the Alachua County Sheriff's Office.
Brian A. Wills, 50, of 17309 County Road 225, was arrested on three counts of possession of child pornography, three counts of distribution of child pornography and a sex offender violation for failure to register an email address.
Wills is a registered sex offender with two previous convictions of using the Internet to solicit sex with children, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Sheriff's spokesman Art Forgey said the agency received a tip in December from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Wills' allegedly using photo-sharing sites to upload child pornography.
Investigators served subpoenas to the Internet service provider to get the address for the computer, Forgey said. ASO then got a search warrant for Wills, which was served Thursday morning.
Several hard drives were seized for forensic evaluation, Forgey said, adding that several images of child pornography were found.
