Today should start with sun, but rain is possible by the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

A 40 percent chance of rain is set for the afternoon but it climbs to 70 percent today. Temperatures will remain warm -- the upper 70s today and about 60 tonight.

Tonight Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 61. East wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Thursday Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be severe. High near 75. Southeast wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Thursday Night Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be severe. Low around 65. South wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Friday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 74. Windy, with a west wind 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Saturday Sunny, with a high near 76.
