Carr, Riggs & Ingram announces addition of Steuber

Carr, Riggs & Ingram LLC recently announced the addition of Gene Steuber as the business development executive serving the Northeast Florida area, which includes the Gainesville and Palatka offices.

Steuber, who previously served as an account manager for Thomson Reuters, holds a master's degree in business administration from Murray State University.

Liquid Creative Studio has awarded its 2013 Liquid Creative Cares Nonprofit Grant to the Kids4Kids Triathlon organization, which arranges events in order to help less fortunate children under the mission of “kids helping kids.”

The $5,000 grant provides community nonprofit organizations an opportunity for marketing and design assistance from the studio.

Grooveshark recently announced that it has signed on with music distributor ONErpm to become part of the company's Leave No Artist Behind campaign, which combines the listener and user base of YouTube, Rdio and now Grooveshark. The campaign also invites artists to have their music distributed amongst these streaming services, with ONErpm forfeiting the up-front fee as well as handling all accounting of royalties.

The Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration's GAINS Center for Behavioral Health and Justice Transformation selected the Alachua County community to receive the center's How Being Trauma-Informed Improves Criminal Justice System Responses train-the-trainer event, which will provide trauma training to 20 stakeholders who will assist in improving responsiveness to individuals involved in the criminal justice system.

Meridian will be facilitating and hosting the training on April 3-4 at the Alachua County Criminal Justice Center.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense operational committee, recently announced that the following four local organizations were nominated by their employees for the 2013 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award: Bonefish Grill, R.E. Robinson Remodeling and Custom Builder LLC, UF's Department of Management in Gainesville, and Camp Blanding Military Police Department in Starke. The Freedom Award is the Department of Defense's highest recognition for employers supporting employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.
