WONDROUS ‘FLIGHT’

‘The Last Flight of Petr Ginz,” a documentary about a 16-year-old youth from Prague who died during the Holocaust, will be screened Thursday at the Phillips Center. The film, co-produced by Wake Forest University and the University of Florida, recounts Petr as an artist and writer who had written five novels and created countless paintings and drawings before he died. A 30-minute panel discussion led by UF professor and film co-director Churchill Roberts follows the screening. Also appearing will be Sydney Taussig, a Holocaust survivor who knew Petr.

“The Last Flight of Petr Ginz”: Pre-program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, screening at 7 p.m., Phillips Center. Free.

THEATER

“9 to 5,” the stage musical based on the 1980 film with Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, is onstage in a new production at the Gainesville Community Playhouse through April 14.

“9 to 5”: 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays through April 14, Vam York Theatre. Tickets: $16, $10 students.

“The Diary of Anne Frank,” a stage adaptation of Anne Frank’s famous diary, continues Thursday through Saturday at the Actor’s Warehouse.

MUSIC

One Night of Queen, a concert production saluting the famed British group, features Gary Mullen and The Works performing songs including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You” and “We are the Champions” on Saturday at the Phillips Center.
