On Saturday, I took Will Muschamp's suggestion and went to Iron Works barbecue. I gave up on Franklin barbecue. The line Saturday was unbelievable.
As I was walking in I realized I was 10 seconds late because a Convention of Mary Kay cosmetics women slipped in ahead of me. Still the line moved quickly and I had my meal within five minutes.
The meat was a little fatty, but the bark was delicious and the sides tremendous. The spicy BBQ sauce was outstanding.
Overall, I would give it a good rating. The walls of the place were covered in pictures of celebrities signed by most of them. As I was walking out I ran into Mick Hubert and his wife and we talked for a while about the ridiculous way the first game for the Gators started on Friday.
But that's for another day.
