The Florida Highway Patrol has issued warnings of potential fog/smoke conditions near several burns throughout the region for Wednesday morning.

A prescribed burn at U.S. 129 and U.S. 19 in Levy County is emitting smoke that may impact roads in the area.

Meanwhile, a long-running debris fire at Wood Resources Recovery on State Road 121 in Gainesville continues to produce smoke that may affect SR 121 and U.S. 441. This condition is expected to continue into next week.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas. Visibility may deteriorate quickly due to smoke/fog type conditions especially during the night time and early morning hours. Motorists are reminded to reduce their speed and utilize low beam headlights in order to adapt to changing weather conditions.
