A debris fire in northwest Gainesville continues to burn and is producing smoke that could affect U.S. 441 and State Road 121, reported the Florida Highway Patrol Saturday.
The fire at Wood Resources Recovery at 10606 SR 121 has been burning for several days and is expected to continue into this week, FHP reported in a press release.
Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in the area. Visibility may deteriorate quickly due to smoke/fog conditions especially during the night and early morning hours. Drivers should reduce their speed and use their low-beam headlights to adapt to changing weather conditions.
