2 dead, 1 hurt as lift topples at Port Everglades

FORT LAUDERDALE — Authorities say a scissor lift has collapsed at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, killing two workers and injuring one.
The Broward Sheriff's Office says the lift was being used to let workers perform maintenance on a bridge that passengers use to disembark at the port's terminal.
The names of the victims have not been released.
Officials did not have a condition on the injured worker.
No further details were immediately available.
