Gainesville-based Naylor has acquired Global Exchange Events, adding appointment-based event operations to its event management, print and online media services for trade associations.

The exchange event office will remain in GEE’s home of Darien, Conn., and Naylor will retain all eight employees, spokeswoman Dana Plotke said.

Naylor would not reveal the cost of the deal.

An exchange event, sometimes called a reverse trade show, pairs buyers with suppliers during pre-scheduled appointments, according to a news release from Naylor.

Naylor has 320 employees and serves more than 500 associations in 85 industries, with offices in Gainesville, Atlanta, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Fairfax, Va., and Darien, Conn.
