NASHVILLE — One of the things I love about the SEC Tournament being in Nashville is that it doesn't matter what day or what time you land — Broadway is going to be rolling.
On Tuesday, I ventured down to the main drag here and stopped into Rippy's because I needed a pulled pork sandwich. It was good as always, especially when I smothered it in sauce and cole slaw. As I ate, a three-member band played on the stage.
A quick walk down the street produced more music as aspiring artists try to get a break. You can't walk a block without hearing country tunes blaring out the open front doors.
I found Bailey's, where there is no music but plenty of TVs to watch sports. And I was back in the hotel by 6 p.m. Old man with a new hip. What would you expect?
So far, I've only see one fan wearing the team colors and, of course, it was a Kentucky fan. The invasion has started.
The games start tonight. This should be interesting.
