Prescribed burn in Lafayette County could cause delays

A prescribed burn by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Lafayette County could produce heavy smoke with fog this morning on State Road 349 about two miles north of the Dixie/Lafayette County line, warns the Florida Highway Patrol.
Delays or detours are possible and motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid the area, FHP stated in a press release.
Northbound SR-349 traffic will be routed east on Dixie County Road 340 into Gilchrist County to U.S. 129. Traffic can then continue North on U.S. 129 to U.S. 27 into Branford.
Southbound SR-349 traffic will be routed east on Lafayette County Road 500 or turn around and go north back to Branford and to U.S. 27 to U.S .129 to continue traveling south.
