Former Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel is one of 82 players on the 2013 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, which was released Tuesday by the National Football Foundation.

Wuerffel, who won the Heisman Trophy and led the Gators to a national title in 1996, also was on the ballot last year.

To be eligible for the CFHOF, players must have been a first-team All-America, played their last college game 10 years prior, played within the last 50 years and are not currently playing pro football.

According to the NFF, Players are not elected directly to the HOF by the voting process. Instead, the votes are "tabulated and submitted to the National Football Foundation's Honors Court, which deliberates and selects the class."
