Sounds of Venice:
On Tuesday, Intrepreti Veneziani, the Italian string ensemble that's been a longtime favorite of Gainesville audiences, returns for its seventh local performance, this time at the University Auditorium. Among the program's seven works are three by Antonio Vivaldi, including Sinfonia for Strings and Harpsichord from “Farnace,” and Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in D minor.

The Harlem Globetrotters bounce their way into the O'Connell Center on Thursday as part of their 2013 “You Write the Rules” World Tour” — in which fans decide the rules that impact the outcome of each game.

On Saturday, Danscompany of Gainesville presents a special 30th anniversary edition of its “Spring Concert — Dancing Through the Decades” followed by “The Wiz” at the Phillips Center. Performances begin at 1:30 and 7 p.m. with Taylor Laffey dancing the lead role of Dorothy at 1:30 p.m. and Emilee Bell appearing as Dorothy at 7 p.m.
