A High Springs man was arrested Sunday after he stabbed two people in the head during an altercation, according to a report.
Ricardo Lamar Neal, 21, was working on a vehicle at 13214 NW 153rd Lane around 5:15 p.m. when Zavous Brinton Washington, of Gainesville, and Kimberly White, of Alachua, approached him, the Alachua Police Department report stated.
The three began arguing, and Neal reportedly pulled a 6-inch knife out of the pocket of his sweatshirt and stabbed White in the cheek. He then stabbed Washington, who is White’s brother, in the left side of the head, the report stated.
Both victims were taken for treatment to Shands at the University of Florida.
Neal ran off and was arrested at a family member’s house six blocks away on two felony charges of battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was being held at the Alachua County Jail.
